2021 Volunteer of the Year Awards
Honor a COVID Community Hero
April 18-24: A Time to Celebrate Volunteerism
Each year in honor of National Volunteer Week, HandsOn River Region celebrates the impact and power of community volunteerism with the Volunteer of the Year Awards. These awards give agencies and individuals the opportunity to show appreciation to those special volunteers who give so generously of their time, talent and energy to make our community a better place to live.
COVID-19: Bringing communities together in the face of loss and uncertainty
In April 2020, HandsOn River Region had to cancel the annual volunteer of the year awards due to COVID-19 and the need for safe social practices. This year, we will honor those nominated for the 2020 event while adding a spin to our normal celebration. The Volunteer of the Year Committee, along with the HandsOn River Region Board of Directors, are seeking nominations for COVID Community Heroes.
Honor Community Heroes
HandsOn River Region is seeking nominations for individuals, organizations, or groups who have uplifted the community in response to COVID-19 through volunteerism. These COVID Community Heroes will be honored at this year's awards.
