Do something different this summer. VOLUNTEER!

Schools out. You've taken your annual family vacation to the beach. Now what? Did you know there are over 200 non-profits in the River Region that could use your help? Our partner agencies often struggle in the summer months to find volunteers that are normally engaged during other seasons of the year. If you are worried about the heat, many of the opportunities available are indoors. If you enjoy the sun and HOT weather, we have opportunities that will also let you work on that golden tan, while wearing sunscreen, of course. And did we mention, volunteering gives high school students SOMETHING TO DO in place of their iPad, iPod, iPhone, i-electronic device, that will have everlasting value on themselves as well as the community in which they serve.
